Mystery Novel "Dance for the Dead"

Thomas Perry is an author that has had many jobs and job titles. He is the author of several novels and one of them is the Jane Whitefield novel "Dance for the Dead." The setting is in the Native American environment. Jane is a Seneca Indian. Her objective is to help people to hide. Perry has created this character of the Native American the same as Sue Grafton and Tony Hillerman. They are all writers of the stories of the Native American culture.

In the novel "Dance for the Dead," Jane has received a new assignment. Her assignment is to keep a young boy alive. There are people that are trying to do away with him because of his inheritance. Whoever is trying to do away with the boy is not afraid to get rid of the people that are standing in their way. As she is trying to protect the boy, a woman enters the picture. She is hiding because there are people that are after her that want her dead for embezzling. Jane is finding out just how bad the people are that are after this woman. They have connections inside and outside of the law and they will not stop at nothing to see her dead.

In this novel, the character Jane in not only trying to protect a young boy and a woman, but she has to try and protect herself also. The people that are after the boy and woman are ruthless and cunning.
