Ann Perry

Ann's birth name is actually Juliet Marion Hulme. She was born in London in 1938, and now lives in Scotland. Ann is a murderer.

When she was thirteen her family moved to New Zealand. She had a best friend there whose parents were getting a divorce. The girls planned to kill the mother of the girl, with the hope of going to England with the father after the divorce. They succeeded in killing the mother and were found guilty of murder. They were too young for the death penalty, so were sentenced to Her Majesty's Pleasure which meant the justice minister would decide when they could be released. The release came after five years. One of the conditions were they could not see or speak to each other ever again. A movie called Heavenly Creatures was made based on this murder.

Once out, Ann went to Scotland to live with her mother of which her parents had divorced also. She took the surname of her step father to write her books. Her first book was called The Cater Street Hangman. Most of her books have the same characters in them. At least forty seven of her books have been published as well as quite a few short stories.

Some of her other books are Buckingham Palace, The Seven Dials, Face of a Stranger, The Shifting Sand, and Cain His Brother.

In October of this year her book, A Christmas Grace was released, and in the first part of next year, Execution Dock will be on the market.
